These are excellent design principles. I’ve just discovered them and will write about them so that my colleagues in continuing and professional education become more familiar with the potential for badges to accelerate learning for adult learners. My sense is that my colleagues in continuing education could provide institutional leadership in higher education in the creation and integration of badges from informal, non-credit learning into formal credential pathways–as the UC Davis model seeks to do. I can’t wait for your final report. What an exciting, rewarding and valuable project!
